We met on Match.com August 2nd of 2013. She had been on Match.com for a few months and her subscription was nearly expired. It was her last week on the site.

I had just gotten out of a relationship and swore off dating. My sister decided she wasn't going to allow that so she put together a profile and threw some pictures of me up on Match.com. I wasn't really that interested until I started getting a torrent of responses. About two days later, my now-fiance 'winked' and sent me a message.

EDIT: On reading other people's responses I'm surprised at the number who have used POF and met their SO. POF is generally known as a 'hookup/one-night-stand' site and not as a long-term relationship site. Well if it worked for some couples and they got a long-term committed relationship out of POF then more power to them
