Fifty Flowers/wholesale

So to cost save I’ve decided to go with Fifty Flowers for my wedding flowers. Plot twist is my wedding is a “DW’ in SC (about a 16 hour drive from my current home). So I’m planning on having the flowers delivered Thursday before our Saturday evening wedding. My parents live in SC so flowers will be delivered there. We’re going with the pre-made options so creating the bouquets should really only involve wrapping in ribbon—no real assembly. But I’ve heard you need to really keep the flowers in a fridge which may be problematic since the hotels only have mini fridges and space may be limited. Our flowers will be Calla Lilies so that also adds to it since they have longer stems and will need to be propped up somewhat to avoid falling/wilting over....

I’d love to hear tips from any brides who wholesaled their flowers on what I should expect or plan for. Especially if anyone else has had to coordinate shipping the flowers to their destination.

If you need a place to store the flowers you should call ahead to the hotel and find out if they could help. Where I work (Hampton Inn) we have multiple full size employee fridges that are almost always completely empty. If your hotel has a similar set up they might allow you to refrigerate the flowers in there.

If the hotel doesn’t have anywhere for you to store them, call the venue and ask. My best friend got married about an hour and a half away and the venue agreed to hold the flowers in a fridge for her because they had one especially for situations like that.
