Field Day for the Groomsmen and Bridesmaids

FH and I have yet to fully gather our Groomsmen and Bridesmaids, but I thought it would be interesting to get everyone's opinion on this. Side note! FH and I have yet to fully gather our Groomsmen and Bridesmaids, but I thought it would be interesting to get everyone's opinion on this. Side note! We are asking early because we are having a DW and understand that our people will need as much heads up as possible for expenses (dresses, travel, tuxes). Anyway, I saw this idea on Pinterest of having a field day with your GM's and BM's so everyone can get to know each other. Is anyone else doing this? Have you done it already? I thought about gathering everyone this fall and doing something fun like this.

    I guess it's a know your crowd type of thing. If I had to go to a get to know you field day, I'd play sick! Most adults wouldn't enjoy that or the forced get to know you interact.

    Thanks all for your opinions! We decided on doing a lunch (picnic, maybe) together with some BBQ and beer (soda or juice for the underaged). The chosen parties so far really like the idea of getting to know each other and grabbing some free food.

    I agree with this too!!! Bbqs are always fun and laid back and great way to get to know people. Great choice!

    Casual drinks or dinner but remember if you're inviting and making it kind of mandatory you need to pay.
