    So I apparently took a tiny bit from French class...but not enough. I've been referring to my son to be husband as my fiancee in numerous text messages 😂 and no one has corrected me

    Pronounced the same. But many terms in French, and some other letters, have masculine and feminine forms. And spell checkers are useless, since they do not consider the context, even a French language spell checker will let you use the wrong one, or suggest the wrong one when you used the right one.
