I’m sure even if he ribs you a little he’ll keep it appropriate, my FH is the same way! I told him this is a wedding not a roast. We’ll see.

I performed a wedding where the bride began her vows with "I hated you when I first met you". There were no promises made, just went on to say he finally got her to like him and now she looked forward to a happy life together. Your FH's can't be worse than those vows.

Makes me wonder if he's event started his vows! Haha! Because that's something my FH would say only to be like "oh, shh.. I got nothing" inside!

Lol I “friend zoned” my FH for 11 years 🤣🤣 because I thought it was weird , I didn’t “like him that way” “didn’t want to ruin our friendship” and then finally I was like FINE. I’ll try. I told him to make sure he lets someone read them before hand idc who but someone has to approve it hahaha

I was in a similar situation so we had a friend who was our officiant so we agreed to let her read both sets of vows and then if she thought anything would bother the other person she told us and we would consider changing it. Just a thought. That way you don’t see it but a friend will and can make sure it’s ok.
