Female groomsman

I was a groomsperson! I did not wear the same dress as the bridesmaids, I was just told to find a dress that was the same color as the BM dresses. It's really up to you, though!

She can. I see no harm in that.

I've seen some people have her wear the same dress as the bridesmaids, but in the color of the groomsmen's suits. That's an option! It's really whatever you/her want to do.

ps a female groomsman would be a groomswoman.

There are a few ways people have stated on here that are awesome ideas.

FH has a groomswoman (his sister) and I have a bridesmaid that doesnt want to wear a dress. FHs sister is wearing a dress like my girls and my BM is going to wear the same getup as the men are.

Theres a few others who stated they had their GW wearing a dress that was the same color as the groomsmen.

My FH has a woman as his best woman. She will wear a dress the same color as the guys...any style she wants.

I agree with her wearing a colour that matches the guys.

If you're indifferent I'd let her decide between the two colors. His groomslady is matching the bms and my bridesdude is matching the groomsmen

My FH is having a groomswoman. My idea was for her to get a dress in the same pallette as my MOH, but she would rather have a suit. So she'll be doing some version of what the best man is doing.

FH is still debating whether to have his sister as a Best Woman alongside his Best Man, but I've already developed the plan if he does. Basically, she can choose for herself whether to wear grey bottoms (pants or skirt) and a blouse in navy or a dress of her choice in navy.

I was a groomsperson. They let me decide if I want to wear a dress to match the BMs or the GMs. I asked if I could just wear a suit that matched them. The couple was cool with it. The dresses they picked out were ball gowns. Their colors were black and orange. BMs wore orange ball gowns. I would have looked like a damn pumpkin. I opted for the black suit with orange tie and vest.

I have seen it where they wear a dress the same color as the groomsmen, or they wear a suit as well.

I'd wear a feminine version of a tux.

I agree with @FutureMrsR, same dress as the bridesmaids, but the same color as the groomsmen.

My sister in law was the 'best man' so she wore the same dress in black. I think it tied in well for pictures.
