feeling unmotivated..*RANT*

Kaitlyn , on March 19, 2015 at 10:16 AM Posted in Planning 0 10

I wish this wedding would plan itself. I've reached a point where I feel like I've looked at every freakin pin, searched every site, tried to get as many ideas going as possible, just to have completely put myself in a rut. I said before, I have very little help planning. FH is about it, and he's the kind of guy who says yeah, however you think it should look, do etc..basically, no help at all. I think I need a break from all of the planning and life because man, the more I keep trying to figure it out, the better Tahoe sounds Smiley sad sorry everyone lol I do feel better...now to finish my coffee before the kids arise Smiley smile

You are not alone. I had that rut period myself a few weeks ago. I'll give you the advice I was given:

Take a break. Pour a glass of wine, read a book, go for a walk, anything not wedding related.

    Hey date twin!

I think at some point in time we all get this way. Just to the point where you don't give 2 shits anymore and just want to be married.

I think the most important thing is to stick to the things that mean something to you and FH. So much social media gets us wrapped up in the small/trivial things that in the end no one remembers or cares about.

I try to tell remind myself I need a break from it. Then I get some wedding related email, or I can't remember if I called the table/chair vendor back? Whens their deposit due, btw?

Lol see my problem? My brain can't shut it down

@tammy exactly, I'm trying to remind myself its just about me and him on that day. It's our vows that matter. But if I still would like my family to walk away having enjoyed themselvesSmiley smile

I suggest walking away for a week. I took all my wedding stuff and put it in my spare room and closed the door. I was so stressed.

Now I just got through and pick weekly projects. So I am not all over the place and I can feel accomplished. Before I just felt my list was never ending.

That's what's crazy. I'm not even doing all the little details. There's no bridal party, we've eliminated ceremony music..idk how I'm getting so lost I guess. My to-do list isn't that long compared to others, and I still feel like the list is never ending

I was like that for a while, and still get that way. For me, I was looking at too much stuff, namely, Pinterest. I got burnt out on other people's wedding boards! Now, I'm just moving along, a little at a time. The big stuff, like venue, photographer, DJ, dresses, has been taken care of. I feel like I can just do the rest at my own pace.

I feel like I have nothing accomplished is my problem I think. I still have deposits to put down, for rentals and I can't pay for my venue till August. I haven't been dress shopping..thats coming up though Smiley smile idk..i think once I get more done ill feel better. And yes, Pinterest is the effin devil. It's ALWAYS the same crap. Not knockin anyone's choice of chalkboard stuff, that's just not what I'm looking for when I type in rustic...lol thanks ladies..i think I just need to sit down and put things into perspective againSmiley smile
