Feeling overwhelmed about dress shopping

I live in NJ and my mom is in CA (where I'm from). I'm excited about going dress shopping but I always feel overwhelmed at the same time. i realized I'm sad because my mom won't be here when I try on dresses. I said I would FaceTime her in...but it still isn't the same UGH! I love my MIL and we have a great bond but, there's nothing like having my mom there...just needed to whine for a moment... thanks for listening lol

I'm sorry your mom won't be able to make it I think you should definitely try to FaceTime her during if you can. It may not be the same, but you'll still get to see her reaction when you walk out in something beautiful, you might just make her cry

You have the right to be a little sad your mom can’t be with you. Fortunately for technology you can share the experience with her. It’ll just make it even more special the first time she sees you in your dress.

I'm in the same boat, I ended up shopping online and sending my mom photos when the dresses arrived, and ended up with a BHLDN dress. I just didn't want to go to a bridal shop alone

I can completely understand! Where did you shop online for your dress. I've heard so many horror stories...I'm afraid. But I kind of prefer it.

Just Lulu's and BHLDN. Their return policies are pretty easy as long as you don't miss the 30 day window! If you have a question about a certain retailer, you can probably ask the ladies here, someone probably has experience with them, but I like to stick to companies that I've heard of just in case.

Aww I’m so sorry! I’m sure your mom wants to be be there for you just as bad as you want her to be there!! Luckily you will have you MIL with you and when you get down to your favorite dresses you can FaceTime and have your mom help with your ultimate decision!
