Feeling loved

on July 25, 2019 at 1:25 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12
A few months ago I mentioned to my MOH who is also my best friend that I had looked into renting whiskey barrels to use for the reception decorations. Those barrels were 500+ and up just to rent them. I was like forget that non-sense. Well last weekend her and her boyfriend gave us our wedding gift early. They planned to pressure wash them and stain them to our liking. We decided we loved the rustic look without stain. Feeling so loved. I have the best of friends. Tell what has made you feel loved or grateful.

Aw that's so nice of them. I was planning on painting these canvases as my guest book. Such as those ones with trees where guests leave their thumb prints on. When I told my friend that, she decided to offer to paint them herself since she's got an art degree. So I was grateful for that help.

I love that idea and your friend. I think it is even more meaningful to know it was hand painted by your friend. I bet it will be very nice.

Such a sweet gift! What are you planning to use it for? We're doing a customized whiskey barrel lid for our guest book and have been looking into renting a couple of barrels as well. Our venue has two of them, but they use them as trash can holders. Such a waste!

We're doing a barrel head as our guest book too! We're getting married at a distillery, so there are plenty of barrels around - trash can holders, impromptu cocktail tables, backdrops, etc

Well I originally wanted to use them as the cake and cupcake table but when I decided I wasnt going to rent them I found our venue has a large rectangular for the cake and cupcakes. So now we aren't sure if we should use them for the original plan or to incorporate them into other ways. The options are overwhelming especially since I'm doing the decorations on my own and know sure what exactly I want to do anyways 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤣
