Feeling guilty about bridesmaids

Pick whoever you feel comfortable having as a bridesmaid and someone who you’ll want by your side on your day. Sometimes I feel guilty or pressured to pick certain stuff but then I think it’s MY wedding. They should be your choices. If they’re really close with that person then she can have her at her wedding.

I was the maid of honor in my brother's wedding, but when it came to asking people to be in my wedding I didn't originally ask my sister-in-law to be in the wedding. I felt really guilty since I was her maid of honor. My former coworker was supposed to be a bridesmaid, but after I lost my job she dropped out of the wedding. My sister-in-law kept hinting about wanting to take her place as a bridesmaid. I spoke with her about it and ultimately decided to have her replace my former coworker as a bridesmaid. Normally it is frowned upon to replace a bridesmaid, but my sister-in-law wanted to be in the wedding. I also realized I should have asked her to be a bridesmaid from the beginning.

I did and ended up asking. And it was in no way due to pressure from her, I just didn’t feel right about it. Figured if it was causing me that much guilt I needed to have her. I immediately felt better when I asked!

I’m supposed to say it’s your wedding do what you want and it’s true but at the same time I would feel guilty, there not a minimum of bridesmaids so maybe I would consider it? If I really don’t feel like having her I wouldn’t even if I feel bad about it
