February Honeymoon Cali/hawaii suggestions?

Brittany, on December 17, 2019 at 8:03 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5
Hey everyone! I’m back after getting married in October! My fiancé and I will be taking two weeks off in February. We will be doing Oahu, Hawaii for one week(week #2) and then we are trying to decide what to do for the first week. I was thinking California. We’ve been to San Diego and loved it, but I would like to go somewhere we have never been. We liked to do a range of activities: hiking/swimming/sight seeing, but we also have times where we’d like to relax. Any suggestions for California would be amazing! Thank you!

Yes!! Definitely Cali. (I’m biased) Lol! Since you’ve been to SoCal already, how about San Francisco?

Napa? Lake Tahoe? Palm Springs? Santa Barbara? Or wonderful LA? 😉

Assuming you're flying through LAX on your way home from Maui, I'd probably choose Santa Barbara. We lived there for several years. It's beautiful, with lots to do, including wineries in the Santa Ynez area (north of SB), a variety of beaches (although, it likely won't be super warm in February), great restaurants/B&B's/resorts/etc. The botanical gardens are beautiful and provide some opportunities for light hiking. If you're really into hard core hiking, there are many options in the foothills northeast of the city. As you know, San Diego offers many similar options, but it is a bigger city than SB, so there are a lot more attractions/things to do (e.g., Balboa Park, tons of museums, the Zoo, Safari Park, touring the USS Midway, tons of restaurants & bars, Sea World, Mission Bay water park options, wineries to the east, etc.). Either is a great option if you don't want to spend much time/energy on additional flights/travel.

Oahu will be amazing! We went for our honeymoon in July. As far as CA goes, I'm biased to San Diego since I grew up there but if you've already been there, you could look into San Francisco or Napa? Or maybe LA?
