February brides!!

We are within 8 months...what challenges are you finding the most difficult at the moment? Do you have your vendors locked in? I'm waiting on the bakery atm, but we've had dialogue. I'm afraid, if I don't nail all that down early, vendors won't be available for my day. The bakery assures me they will take care of us, but Covid has kept them out of the office until recently and they aren't scheduling consultations yet. We had already had a tasting and the owner has agreed to pull the card from our tasting and take pics we send by email to get our contract situated on our custom cake. I'm hoping that is all done by next weekend. I'm looking at all the crafty things I need to do still, card box, centerpieces, photo collages, and worrying about doing them too early, which is making me antsy 😂😂😂

How are you doing?

Hi fellow February bride! I’m starting to get anxious too wondering if we will eventually have to postpone, as all of the spring and summer brides have had to. 🙏🏻Hoping beyond hope we don’t have to. 😔 how’re you coping with the stress? Are you preparing on making your guest list smaller? Providing masks? So many questions...

Hello fellow Feb. Bride, as for me I have pretty much all the important stuff booked except the bakery and tables and chairs, and that's about it. Things are looking up, for my wedding I'm also thinking of putting up hand sanitizer stations.

I'm not making any changes yet, but we do have the plan B of going to the courthouse and postponing the party 😊 our wedding is already small, 60 people total, so hoping we will still be ok.

🤞🤞 fingers crossed for all of us!!
As for stress, I downloaded a puzzle game on my phone to distract my brain! 😂

We currently have a venue locked but I've been having second thoughts because of our guest count. I found another location that we could have it and expand our guest count but still have the gorgeous photos at our current venue. We're just waiting until the end of the month before moving forward.

The new venue includes food, DJ, and free decor plus they have a game room and lounge. The price is pretty good as well considering they are a non profit organization so there's no additional fees, taxes or gratuity.

Hey girly we have everything in place for ours I started planning January we are getting married June 5th 2021. I started out with ordering everything on Amazon as far as our reception decor and a few places on marketplace on fb. I went threw the Wedding Knot and Wedding Wire with some vendors the only thing we dont have is our Wedding cake Tasting hoping that it is in July 25th btwn this and our Tasting for our Catering this will be in August. I keep my fingers crossed for me and the upcoming brides that everything goes smooth sailing

Thanks. It'll be even cooler if FH agrees to do it lol. He's like the only one on the fence. Even though I know for a fact we can (and I've told him), he wants to make sure we'd be able to pay it off. He doesn't want to end up having to cancel because of financial issues. We've already saved over half of what they're charging and there's no set payment schedule as long as it's all paid before the day of which is also nice.

I understand that concern, we only have payment due dates of "a month before the event" to really contend with, so goal is payoff all wedding things by end of September.

FH is REALLY into Halloween, so we host a huge party (200-300 guests) annually, so I'm trying to plan the Halloween party, stay on top of everything for the wedding, have 2 kids at home (elementary age) to worry about, work a 45 hour week with 40 minutes travel each way everyday, and, you know, try to breathe and maintain my sanity Smiley xd I may be a little overwhelmed!

My goodness! Superwoman for sure. Well I know your wedding and Halloween party are going to be out of this world. Definitely remember to breathe. I'm overwhelmed for you lol but I know it's going to turn out great.

I'm sorry you had to postpone, but welcome to team February LOL. We were originally setup for 1/18/20, but postponed because of family stuff. We haven't changed a ton of the details, but we delayed a lot of the organizing. Smiley shame
