February 2021 brides

Jelmi, on January 8, 2021 at 3:49 PM Posted in California Planning 0 9
Hello ladies, I hope I am not the only one getting worried about our wedding. we postpone our wedding from august 22,2020 to February 27 2021 and we are getting nervous especially since California is in shelter in place. I have so many mix emotions going on right now. Idk if I should wait and see what happens or just cancel. Advise ladies

I feel your pain, I'm in the same boat. We postponed our March 2020 wedding within 5 days of our date the first time and postponed to March 2021 and are getting really concerned again. We are trying to make a decision by the end of January if we're moving forward or postponing again which is a roller coaster of emotions. We don't want to wait until the last minute again because it was so devastating the first time and a huge inconvenience to our guests. I'd suggest working with your venue and having a contingency plan in place. Good luck, wishing you all the best!

    Hello,
It’s been so stressful! But we decided that the most important thing was being married to each other. We are having our ceremony at our church and then heading off to our mini-moon up north for much needed relax time. We postponed our reception to the middle of the year but will be moving it to Mexico! It’ll be like an extra honeymoon lol.

    Hi Laura,

I'm getting married on Feb. 27 too! Is your venue allowing guests? If your plans is to have a small backyard wedding or a micro-wedding, I think you could still make it work. Hoping for the best!!

We’re 2/27/21 also! We decided the union itself was more important than the party/celebration so we decided to keep our date and add a virtual element. If we can get to the red tier ( not likely) we can still have the event, just smaller and my friend will stream it on zoom to those who couldn’t attend. If we stay in purple tier our venue basically cannot be open so we’ll I guess cancel with them, and then just do a backyard ceremony with just our parents and my daughter, and she will take over the filming for those who want to attend virtually. I’m trying not to stress over it... it is what it is.

Ahahaha the world may be ending, but COVID or NOVID my fiancee and I are getting married. If only people would just RSVP, they're literally killing me.

Oh no, that’s the worst. But people are probably scared and not sure they would make it. I feel your stress on my first original date we had some laggers we had to remind them couple of times

My original date was for early Feb in California. I've heard the stay at home order extend to February. So I'm looking into postponing for later in the year. I'm hoping restrictions will ease up for a small wedding in 2021 but 2022 is looking like the better plan.
