    Don’t waste your 💵‼️

I took the time to painstakingly add 💜🎀 to 💯Bubble Tubes and the box that they came in. Idk what happened to the 📦 top, so I’m stuck with the bulk of the tubes as all 💯 are not there now.

I’m skipping favors altogether, but if you wanted to have something then I would definitely do something edible. Candy, baked goods, even coffee beans they can grind themselves, something like that. Personalized shot glasses or hoodies etc. are often either left behind or never used again (and they’re pretty pricey)

Favors aren't required, but edible favors are a good idea. Like cookies!

We're doing etched mugs that are doubling for the glasses at the reception. I am doing 120 of them for about $145. I wasn't going to do anything but we'd still have to provide drinkware so we'd be spending about the same anyway. If they leave them behind that's fine...more glasses for the house.

We wont be doing favors, I’ve noticed they are a waste. Ive seen a friend place a card on each table saying that they donated money to charity on behalf of each person instead of favors.. i think thats a lot more meaningful!

I have a dessert bar for my favors and leaving mints on each plate that say mint to be from etsy. We aren't trying to spending more money on something people might not use or throw away.

When I booked my photographer they had a seperate business where they take pictures of everyone coming in and then while the party is going on they're developing the pictures and then setting them up on a table with a frame saying thanks for being part of our big day or something along those lines. So our favor is a nice picture of themselves they have to take home! Who doesnt like a great photo of themselves?

Unless they're edible guests will probably leave them behind or forget about them when they get them home. I have no idea where any of the favors are i've gotten at weddings.

I would definitely recommend something edible. We're most likely going to do cupcakes!

I got married in 2017 and we have favors that matched our theme, tea cups. It was expensive and worth it to us. Most people loved it and it was personal because we selected them for each person. However I would suggest edible favors like cookies with a cute tag or cupcakes etc. something that goes with your colors/theme. Best of luck!

As a guest, if you did something with your wedding date/names like coozies or cups or something, I’d take one to be polite, but I guarantee you it would end up in the trash or the bottom of my floorboard in the car. I feel like those are such a waste of money because people care to be there for your wedding, but they don’t care to use a memorandum cup with your date afterwards. It’s your date, not theirs.

As a bride, I’m either going to skip favors all together, or I will do something edible! The possibilities I’ve come up with are cookies, candy, and hot chocolate kits. I will probably let that be one of the last things I decide if I’m doing or not depending on how stretched thin my budget is at that point. I don’t think anyone would miss them!

I totally agree, my FH's one cousin got married a few years ago and they had a movie theme. It was honeslty super cute and the favors were so adorable, but they just got put in boxes with stuff we don't have a use for but don't wanna throw out.
And again, a friend of mine just got married over the weekend, they did cozzies. They're styled with their theme and have their date, name, etc. More of a cute idea for them to have as a memory of their special day but not so much their guests.

Favors are statistically a waste of money, right?

Do a search on these forums, and then think to yourself...what did I take home from someone's wedding that I absolutely loved and needed?

My answer was a CD from a wedding back when I was out of college. And no one really uses CDs anymore!

We made a donation to an animal shelter and put a notice on each table.

I am going to do mini pots of succulents. They will be both part of centerpiece and a favor. And most people can’t kill them. I might also looked into cookies. A girl I used to work with makes them and they’re adorable.
