Favors

Leah, on April 11, 2022 at 11:41 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 2 8
My family has a horrible trait of taking all favors or anything they think is “leftovers” at any party. They will even wait until the party is over and take whatever is left. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make sure each guest only takes one favor at the wedding? We had a shower over the weekend and there was a sign next the favors to only take ONE, and we even had someone guarding them most of the time. Once they saw no one was guarding, they took them all.

I really dont know that there is a way unless you make them individually and hand them out. Like as soon as they come in and leave the rest at home. And if some people couldn't come just tell them I only have left for the ones that's wasnt able to make it. But yes I do know that very well lol

Maybe place them on the reception tables? I’ve been to several weddings were the favors were next to or holding the place cards (if assigned seating was used), or simply on top of or next to the napkin.

How rude! I would recommend placing one favor at each table setting to solve this problem

I agree. I think that placing the favors on the tables will be the best option.

I have the same problem! So here’s what I came up with. I have one of my favors as hot sauce bottles that also is the seating arrangement “hot seats”. So if they were to take someone else’s that person wouldnt know where to sit. Im also doing shot glasses, which will be passed out at a “they tied the knot take a shot” table and am having the workers pass out shots in the shot glasses.

Everyone has wonderful suggestions - escort cards or placing one per seat is the better way to go if you don't want this happening. it's more work but it's better off that way or else they will think it's a free for all if just left there

We are creating little treat bags and putting a name on each one.
