Favors!!

Nicole, on July 29, 2022 at 8:14 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 25

October Bride here! so as you can imagine its crunch time. I'm currently searching for favors. I personally don't care too much for favors even when I go to weddings I think "oh this is cute" then it goes to collect dust lol.

So, does anyone know of any favors that are affordable and useful but not cheesy? Our wedding theme is romantic.

We are doing bubbles. I think I paid maybe $30 for the bubbles & $20 for the labels. We’re expecting 100 guest.

Edible favors are always a favorite amongst guests! Especially if it’s something you can use as a late night snack! Taffy apples would be super cute for a fall wedding. Or little mini pumpkin or apple pies.

The last few weddings I have been to did not have favors and honestly I don't think anyone missed them that said I wanted favors haha. We love coffee so I made some cute sublimation mugs and we have some coffee beans in pouches that says the perfect blend. Edible favors are always fun I love when its the couples fave snacks. Below are some cute favor ideas. This isn't a favor but both of our names are actually a candy so we are having little dishes of them on the bar (yes I am a dork)hahaha. If you are having a photo booth that can also double as favor. A friend of mine technically didn't do favors but put that money towards a goodbye snack, there was coffee and breakfast sandwiches on the way out, after a night of drinking that was the perfect end note! Have fun!!!

We did coffee mugs and tiny snack bags for the road since we had a weekday wedding and most guests had between 30 minutes - 2 hour drive home. Guests got to take their mugs home (solid blue or white coffee mugs) since it was cheaper to buy them for $1.25/each from the dollar store than to rent them. All the mugs and most of the snack bags got taken home! Favors!! 4

If you dont like the mug idea, maybe 2 tealight candles in your wedding colors in an organza bag? You could throw in a chocolate as well. No need for labeling each one, just put a sign on the favors table or put them at each place setting for dinner.
I am imagining something like this: https://www.amazon.com/zest-candle-50-piece-tealight-candles/dp/b007l7yepm/ref=asc_df_b007l7yepm/?tag=hyprod-20&linkcode=df0&hvadid=192210779168&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16018653223490082675&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1027070&hvtargid=pla-302934895370&psc=1 Favors!! 5

We're doing edible favors - specifically really yummy Swiss chocolates that the US manufacturer is located in my home town (where we are not having our wedding, as I now live on the other side of the country) - This way it's edible and a little something from my home.

I have been looking at oriental trading company and etsy. I was going to go personal pack of tissue a fan some bubbles tic-tacs personal hand sanitizer and a key chain or a magnet. 💜
Check out the site. Good luck

Ooh! We’re doing little packets of flower seeds. There’s online seed stores where you can buy bulk for $15-50. I bought little individual packets with out names and dates. Boom. Wedding favors that people will use and enjoy.
Side note: the seed stores can do just about anything from wildflower mixes to roses to dahlias to poppies and so on.

It’s honestly the best thing I’ve come up with! And it’ll be super easy for over half our guests who are out of town and need to pack light

Save your money and put it towards food/bar/dj that guests will remember or a better photo package for your memories.

As guests, we have never seen anyone take favors. Even when they are edible.

It's totally OK to skip favours! I do like the seeds idea though, and they would be light to carry home.

We aren't doing favors in the sense of a little trinket (that either gets left behind or thrown out), so instead we're putting that money towards a late night snack. Personally, I'd rather have something to eat after a night of partying than a party favor 🤷‍♀️
