Favors you would want

Hi all! So now that I'm having a small wedding, my budget can accomodate pricier favors ($30 or so). I want to get my committed guests a nice favor for traveling all the way to my little event during a pandemic. What's a wedding favor that you would be totally excited to get? It can be gender...
Hi all! So now that I'm having a small wedding, my budget can accomodate pricier favors ($30 or so). I want to get my committed guests a nice favor for traveling all the way to my little event during a pandemic. What's a wedding favor that you would be totally excited to get? It can be gender neutral or not (happy to separate for girls and guys), individual or by household

Or a cake pop, or a split of champagne.

I went to a wedding with the BEST cookies as favors (like who wouldn't want that or at least take it home for someone who might?) and half of these delicious and meticilously hand decorated cookies were left behind. I was so surprised.

I did really appreciate chapstick from one wedding. Many were still left though so they probably had a lifetime supply of chapstick!

I'm not a fan of the items printed with the bride + groom's name. It might be something awesome, but the names on it kinda limits its appeal (as much as everyone loves you two!)

Overall, I love the charitable donation idea too - very attuned to the times.

Your comment made me think - maybe $10 gift cards to Starbucks as "hangover pick me up" for the morning after. Their stores are so ubiquitous that everyone will eventually use it. Would hit well under $30 per favor and I bet these would be widely appreciated.

I have heard that guests have enjoyed some kind of hang-over pick-me-up--that may be a good idea!

I totally love favors too. We seem to be in the minority on this one, but I love a momento

I think wine glasses and/ or beer mugs with a nice saying etched in to them. Maybe you and your FH have a favorite quote or something you could have etched in to them then you could add a little tag that explains the importance of the quote and the glass will still be usable. Nobody really wants to use a glass with someone else name and wedding date on it.

I totally agree with the name and date thing. My sister did some artwork for the wedding that I thought might be fun to incorporate into a gift so it's reminiscent of the wedding but doesn't actually include our names and date

That would be cool! You could do custom coasters and do a set of 4 for each family/couple.

Yeah, I too was surprised by some of the posts. I just can’t imagine myself throwing out a wine topper, or personalized wine glass, or a shot glass. But to each its own. Seems like it’s better to go with the majority rule on this one though. I’m probably going to have to fill my personalized stemless wine glasses with some sort of salt water taffy now so my guests actually like them LOL

Maybe a donation in the guests' names?

We're doing coffee from one of our favorite local places since we live hours away from family, so it's a bit of our home into the wedding.

Food items are always a hit, regardless of the guest's age or gender. I like the prior suggestions of donations, but if you can afford pricier favors, maybe a small snack type favor for guests, because those can be super inexpensive, and still make a donation, too?

We're having customized M&Ms in a little box with a printed guitar pick on the top...FH and I, as well as more than half our guests (all family members) are musicians. Smiley winking

I considered succulents or coffee mugs or small picture frames but not sure yet.

We originally weren't going to have favors because we were supposed to get married in HI.

Since changing venues and overall location I decided that we would do mason jar glasses with the guests name printed on them plus Godiva Chocolate! We wanted something personalized as well as yummy. Our guests would use the mason jars for other purposes too. For our out of towners I created a small travel essential bag with trail size toothpaste, mouthwash, toothbrush, soap, hairspray, shampoo, and of course Advil.

I think anything edible would be best. If you go to etsy there are some of these shops on there that sell beautiful chocolate art and I heard it's supper delicious. Or get some nice macaroons. Favors you would want 3
