Favors Slogan

WifedUp, on March 6, 2013 at 4:51 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

So, for favors we decided to go with little bags of Skittles. I'm definitely disappointed on not doing the succulents or bamboo, but this worked out cheaper. (I got the bags of Skittles on clearance for $1 each, a pack of 100 clear treat bags for $2.50 and a 3/8" spool of ribbon matching my bouquet ribbon for $3, both from ACMoore.) I've been trying to come up with a catchy little slogan for the tag, a play on their 'Taste the Rainbow' slogan, but all I've come up with so far is simply putting 'Taste the Rainbow' with our names and the date underneath. Any ideas??

    Hahahah!

I can understand the difficulty with that, I for sure wont want to use "Taste the Rainbow" because it is used in all the commercials even though its a good slogan.

The words i can think in relation to the slogan for wedding favors and skittles are "Love, Rainbow, Sweet"...quite limited I know. How about something in relation to "Love Rainbow"?

I like the idea of using 'taste the rainbow' (it is a rainbow wedding after all...), I just want to personalize it a little more. "Thanks for celebrating with us, here's a bit of rainbow to show our gratitude". You know, a (very) short little poem or something similar

    Maybe an Irish toast?

May your glass be ever full.

May the roof over your head be always strong.

And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.

    OR

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields and,

    Until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

    Or from the song...

“Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue, and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true” Thank you for partaking in our lives, love, and our wedding.

I love that last idea! I hadn't even thought about that song, but it does fit well!

How short do you want it? What do the bags look like? Because I am imagining a small bag which cant take too many words.

I'm not usually a go to for this stuff but for some reason the only thing i can think of is "Feel the love, taste the rainbow" ? Other that i got nothing. Christine's ideas are too good and hard to compete with! Smiley smile

The sweetest way to end the sweetest day.

Candy's sweet, and chocolate is too, but nothing's sweeter than spending our special day with you

I got nothing with rainbows though :-(

Maybe change this one up and add rainbow...

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

And the rain always give you a rainbow...

(I'm not religious so I typically drop that part of the saying) Smiley winking

Gee O the bags are small but I was thinking of making the tags myself and punching holes in them so I can use the ties on the bags to tie them on. I figure I can make them up myself, put several on one graphic, and have them printed up at work (I work at Walgreens) for super cheap! The 5x7's are BOGO free this week, and I get an employee discount so each 5x7 will run me a little more than 75 cent each Smiley smile

How sweet it is that you could share our special day with us. ...

Thank you for making our day a little brighter. ...

We found love at the end of our rainbow.

(May want to look up "taste the rainbow" in the urban dictionary before using it on your favor tags...don't know if any of your guests will be familiar with the various meanings??)
