April 20, 2019 here!!! Who’s doing wedding favors and what are you doing? If we do them I want something that people will use and not just trash because that money being thrown away. I don’t want to spend a ton of money on them either. Let me know what you’re doing!

April 6! We are doing a dessert bar with about 4 desserts per person so we will be setting out bags towards the evening for people to bag stuff and take it home. I found a cute stamp on clearance at hobby lobby that says all you need it love that we stamped on the bags

If you're going to do wedding favors - do something edible. Cookies, brownies, candy, etc. Otherwise, it's likely to be thrown away.

I'm not doing them. We are having a welcome dinner the night before the wedding with typical Dominican food (we're having a destination wedding).

We are making chocolates and I found cute magnets for a good price on Etsy that say our names and date and sat "thank you for celebrating with us". Cant go wrong with magnets!

I’m doing koozies! My fiancé and I are team koozie. Even if everyone doesn’t take one home, he loves koozies so much, I really wanted to do that for him. But tons of weddings we’ve been to have had koozies and we still use all of them!

We aren't doing any. While it is a nice gesture, I have never wanted any of the favors at any wedding I have attended. To each their own!

Candies are usually a cheap option. I like useful items. I am not opposed to cups with wedding stuff written on them or better yet a sticker that can come off. I use 2 cups I got for weddings (one mason jar glass, one plastic) all the time. The plastic is especially nice for summer drinks. We are doing candy coated almonds in a canning jar and my mom is crocheting doilies for the lids and we are doing shot glasses that will tell them where to sit and then they get to take home. My mom was talking about doing something more kid friendly for the young kids like lollipops or a different candy since they can't have either of the other 2.

We’re giving little honey jars. They’ll have a cute sticker on the jar that says “meant to bee” and our initials and wedding date. My mom and stepdad harvest honey from their own bees so it’s all free! And yummy!

    April 19, 2019 over here!

We were planning on doing favors (pretzel rods dipped in chocolate and decorated to look like a bride and groom), but after careful consideration, have decided to forego them. We are having a caricature artist at our cocktail hour and reception, and people will be given their drawings to take home with them. We are also going to be upgrading our dessert spread at the venue a substantial amount. So between those two things, I don't think anyone will be missing favors.

I went to a wedding in October with no favors. They did have Polaroid cameras for the guest book that people took extra pictures with and then took home with them. And that was fine for everyone!

After reading about favors on this forum, I've decided against them. We're just going to put Lindt truffles on the tables and allow guests to take them throughout the night and home if they're still there.

April 13th here! I bought 200 personalized plastic cups from 24hourwristbands.com for around $100. The cups are reusable, dishwasher safe and oh so cute! AND, we will have a keg at the reception so I'm sure the cups will come in very handy!

I've been thinking about this too. I don't want to do edible gifts, because too many people are dieting or have special restrictions. (Vegan, allergies,etc..) I thought of something fun that everybody loves... Lottery scratcher tickets. I was thinking about doing tags that say something like "We hope our special day will be your lucky day!" The question is how to present them in a way that looks classy. I think I'm going to look for small decorative envelopes. Who knows? Maybe one of my loved ones will win!

We are doing plastic stadium cups with acute design that I am creating (i'm a graphic designer). It goes well because we are getting married in New Orleans so they will be kind of like throws you would get at the parades. We will probably also scatter some Mardi Gras Beads on the table.

I am doing marble coasters, and sangría bottles for the single guys. I originally wanted to do chocolate boxes but when the vendor wanted to charge me $3 just for the empty box, I decided to do favors I could wrap on my own.

Our wedding favors are going to be mini jars of jelly!! They are super cute, and not a lot of money. And super rustic that fits our wedding!
