Favors opinion

We are having a out of town (2hrs away) wedding in a beach area of Nc on a holiday weekend. We are doing Dutch stroop waffles (a sweet) for favors. But I was toying with a few other additional favors since we are asking a lot of guests. Our vibe is vintage elegance… lots of flowers and silver trays & candles & lace. The gift table has a vintage hat and hat box with gloves and jewelry box etc. i was toying with for men a sandler wood hair comb with our initials or wedding date on them (see pic) and ladies vintage looking hair combs (see pic) or brooches. Tacky? Favors opinion 1

Those are beautiful! However be prepared for many to be left behind. Save your money and stick with the edible favors. You can do double duty by using them as escort cards.

It's really sweet of you to want to do a little something extra since your guests are traveling, but like Michelle said, favors get left behind A LOT! I'd say put the money towards an experience type of thing instead (full bar, photo booth, late night snack, etc.).

Honestly this is a great idea and I can’t see anyone leaving this behind. I out a lot of thought into favors perhaps too much. Based on how I know my guest (networks) I bought favors that represented that relationship. So for example for my sorority sisters I purchased sorority related gifts such as engraved fans. I think favors can be meaningful and sustainable and I love your idea.

Just didn’t know if hair items was kinda tacky. We are already doing photo booth, late night snack and full bar for the guests as suggested above. I just was thinking a stroop waffle was a little lack luster. Thank you for your reply!

No there is nothing tacky about that at all! I would be impressed with how intentional you were at providing sustainable favors. Very classy I think.
