Favors instead of a candy bar?

Jessie, on March 8, 2021 at 11:19 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
We originally wanted to do a candy bar, and everyone could make their own bags of candy. There's a local popcorn shop near us and was thinking of little personalized bags of popcorn, different flavors.

What other ideas of favors do you have? I want something people will actually eat or take home

If you're looking for edible favors, is there a food that the area you're getting married in is known for? For example, I'm getting married in an area known for their cherries, so we chose chocolate-covered cherries as our favors. Otherwise, you could do small containers of your favorite spices, mini jars of honey or maple syrup, small bags of caramel popcorn, etc. I would probably avoid things that have nuts in them or other common things that people could be allergic to.

Save your money and skip the favors. Some people will eat edible favors and others leave them behind. Put your money toward food/open bar/dj that guests will remember or toward your photos/video.

Those were our favors. My mother-in-law made the cake pops and we bought the M&M's and stemless wine glasses online. My mother-in-law had offered to make our favors and originally she wanted to do chocolate lollipops, but I preferred cake pops and our guests said they were really good.

Honestly we are skipping the favors, I have been to so many weddings where people don't even take them or I see them in the trash unopened and then the couple has spent all that money for nothing! We are putting that cost towards something else in our wedding!

We were going to do a candy bar, but the venue would now prefer everything pre packaged so we're making candy bags to go, I know it's overdone but everyone loves snacks especially after a night of drinking!
