Favors at Rehearsal dinner

kob8, on September 30, 2014 at 7:18 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

Hi Ladies,

My future MIL was wondering if we should have a favor at our rehearsal dinner. Is anyone having one? If so, what are you giving?

Thanks!

I don't think it's necessary. I think it's enough to provide the meal.

I think if its a true RD with just the families and the BP, its probably good to give them their thank you gifts a dinner instead of another favor.

I thought about doing them so that everyone woukd get something (we have gifts for the parents and BP), but since my future in laws are handling the rehearsal dinner I decided not to. Everything. Every. Single. Thing. With them is a fight so I felt it best not to add any they weren't expecting.

I have thought about it but I am sure that I won't end up doing one! I am, however, doing invites real cheap by printing as 4x6 image through wal-mart for $.09/each but if they were any more expensive, I wouldn't 'be doing those either

I don't think its necessary. Most couples give out the BP gifts at the dinner.

I don't think it's necessary. We will be handing out gifts to the bridal party then.

Are you thinking of doing this instead of favors at the wedding?

Thanks for your responses. I had just planned to give out gifts to our wedding party but didn't want to offend my future mil.
