Favorite shapewear

I went shapewear free on my wedding day because they are so uncomfortable. I'm fat but I've heard Target has a line of Spanx that's pretty decent.

Novbride, I feel like I'm in the same boat. I'll be 35 when I get married so I know my body isn't what it was 10 years ago... I just need something to hold in my tummy and smooth out a couple bulges.

I'm 5'5", 170lb. My measurements are roughly 41-34-43. I tried on Spanx two-timing mid-thigh shorts and it works well for me. It's reversible (black and beige), has a high-waist and a semi-firm shape. It does its job nicely and I can still breathe and walk comfortably. The material feels like Lycra--soft and almost silky. I wore them under a fitted dress recently and I was good to go all night. Hope that helps!

I'm not "fat" either, but I wanted something to smooth my frame out and make me feel slightly more confident as I sometimes pick on my body. I found this type of spanx that is more breathable and comfortable, but still smoothes out any bumps or lumps. Theu are called Spanx Skinny Britches. I've worn them 3 times now to test them out and they do a great job without making me feel sickly. Normal spanx makes me feel sick and I have 5o take them off after a few hours. I recently wore the Skinny Britches for a full day, from 2pm to midnight and I felt find. Totally forgot I had them on. It was hot, too, and the spanx added no extra heat because they are so breathable. I bought a large based off of reviews, but I normally wear a medium. I'm thinking I may buy a medium to test before the wedding and see which is best and most comfortable. I got the shorts because I have a low back dress and with shorts I won't have to wear tights but also my legs won't rub together lol. My measurements are typically 38, 28, 38, around 140lbs, super top heavy, so full body spanx are not plausible for me. Get yourself a corset. Unlike you I am fat. I've accepted it...love to eat. The corset sucks in the gut and lifts the boobage. I am so sexy right now. Got mine from Amazon. It will work wonders for you

I found this sexy thing at Macy's. I will give you all numbers I can find. I don't have the receipt or the price tag. Maidenform. 2556/P2556. 01177c BD6. RN# 15763 CA00153. It's just enough to keep everything from shaking, too much. The legs aren't tight. The fabric in the cup are can easily be tucked under, my situation, and they stay. Mainly tummy control, but nothing intense. I can't stand that feeling.

I have a small frame with a little "pooch" in my belly, and I have small boobs.

When trying on dresses they put me in a corset and it flattened my stomach and made my boobs look great... and I actually didn't find it uncomfortable. I'll be wearing a corset and my normal underwear (ballgown so bottom doesn't matter too much)

Thanks everyone. I will be checking the options you all gave me. My dress has corset, but the thing with me is that I'm starting to get stressed so that makes me bloated. So even with the corset I still see some pooch.
