Favorite Ed Sheeran First Dance Song?

I love the Ed Song, he’s amazing. But I think Beyoncé actually oversings the part in the song and it doesn’t go at all in my opinion. His soft voice with her belting doesn’t go together to me. But I do love that song just not particularly that version.

I actually am not a Shereen fan but when I heard perfect for the first time I cried so hard I had to pull over. Every lyric struck a chord for me. We met in high school and fell in love hard but it didn't work out then we got back together a year later and never looked back. We're getting married in the woods and I'm going to be barefoot. I worried it would be overplayed or unoriginal, which it is, but no other song has given me that much of an emotional reaction.

I agree with you 100 percent. I hate the version with beyonce she just doesnt go with the song to me.

All the songs are nice. My husband told me as he drove to the store to get oj on the morning of our wedding, he heard "Perfect" come on the radio. He took it as a 'sign', and joked maybe I shouldn't have put in bold ABSOLUTELY NO ED SHEERAN on the DJ notes.

While I love the song Perfect for me at least it doesn't resonate as a wedding song besides the line about the dress. I love Thinking out Loud but we both felt like these songs are so overplayed and over done at weddings.

I love Perfect, because of the line "we were young when we first met" my fiancee and I first met and dated when I was 15 and he was barely 20 back in 1985, and we'll never let each other go again!

He should use that song for his first dance, since he wrote it about her
