Favorite cocktail hour food?

We had three passed apps - grilled cheese squares with tomato and basil, fried ravioli with marina sauce, and mango chicken bites. The grilled cheese and mango chicken bites were on their menu, but I requested the fried ravioli. One of our friends had fried ravioli at their wedding which I loved so I decided I wanted it at my wedding. We didn't get married at the same venue as our friends.

I had egg rolls, mini muffins, fruits

We had a mountain wedding with bbq and we did brisket bites and shrimp&grit cakes. At weddings I just like apps that taste good which is not always the case.

Something easy to eat in one bite/one hand. Anything on a skewer, bite sized risotto balls, mini crab cakes...

Our venue had a mac and cheese bite that was *amazing*.

Does your venue offer a tasting? It can be really helpful to figure out what your venue is really good at versus only mediocre.

I’m thrilled with any bite-sized appetizer with protein! Mini crab cake, shrimp skewer, meatball, charcuterie tray, etc.

The one thing that was a must-have for cocktail hour food for me was arancini. They’re my absolute favourite!

We get to pick 6 hot appetizers and so far we’ve picked out two for sure: a miniature chicken taco and a mini French onion soup. We did a tasting about a month after we booked our venue and got to try both at them and they were delicious.

Please, please, please, have a vegetarian option. I have been to so many weddings where there was nothing for me to eat! It makes for a very drunk wedding guest.

The best wedding my FH and I ever went to had only appetizers, which is why the wedding was so memorable...but we don't remember what any of those apps were! What we really remember was that there was a lot of variety, and that every half hour there was something new, which made it really exciting!
