What have you received that you loved and were able to keep/use again after the wedding was over? Or was everything intended for use at the wedding only?

I just bought several reusable straws for myself and my MOHs, partially because we‘ll be wearing lipstick, but they also come in a travel case to avoid getting disposables!

I think the only thing I still have is a necklace I was given that I’ve worn several times since the wedding. I’m not a fan of stuff that says bridesmaid or maid of honor, so typically I stuff it away somewhere for a while until I’m deep cleaning and pitch it.

Daughter's wedding was in January 2019. For "getting ready" she bought her BMs (and the MOG and me) nice quality plaid flannel shirts in the primary wedding color. She got them at Old Navy and they were good quality and really soft, and she double checked sizes with everyone, so they fit us all well (they were a women's "cut," so nicely tailored). Not only have I worn mine a lot, but her BMs still occasionally post photos of themselves wearing those shirts. We wore them with black leggings for our hair and nail appointments, and the getting ready photos were adorable. They turned out to be both practical and popular gifts. (She gave the girls a bunch of other stuff as well, but I think the flannels were the big hit -- there was NO personalization on the shirts.... Smiley winking )

The one wedding I was in gifted us all black tote bags with our names stitched on them. In the bags was stuff for the wedding like bobby pins, deodorant, snacks, Advil, etc. I seriously used the bag the entire day of the wedding for stuff I forgot and I actually still use the tote bag when I travel! I definitely think it is best to try to get gifts that are practical Smiley smile

I haven't received this, but I do love the flannel idea as mentioned above. I would've done that for gifts but no one in my group is really into flannels -- except me lol.

For the things I'm giving, one is wedding related (getting ready robe), another is half-wedding related (nice cashmere scarves to use in case it's cold, and beyond), and the others are personal/individual gifts depending on what that person likes (like a candle, nice coffee, etc).

I considered doing jewelry, but again, my style of jewelry is different from what my girls like, and I'd rather put that money towards something they'll hopefully enjoy more.
