We aren't necessarily looking for anything traditional, just something that would be fun Smiley smile Thanks in advance!

I love games at showers and have hosted a few showers and parties myself where I facilitated the games and every time the guests raved at how much fun they had (co-ed parties too). A good ice-breaker is the "Who Am I?" game where you write a famous person on a sheet of paper and either stick or pin it on the person's back when they come in. Then they have to figure out "who" they are by only asking "yes/no" questions. The first to guess wins a prize. I always had prizes people would actually want to win. I tried to mix up the games so it varied during the party: ice-breakers, team and solo games to pace the crowd.

Sorry, I agree with other posters that shower games of any kind are pretty awful. If your close family and friends are all there, all they'll want to do is visit with each other. The ONLY thing I've seen done at a (baby) shower (not a game or activity but was kinda cute) was the hostess took a picture of each person as they came in so the mom-to-be had a photo of everyone that was there.

The bridal shower version of the newlywed game is always the biggest hit at showers I've attended! Someone comes up with a list of questions about the couple and asks your fiance the questions and records their responses ahead of time, then you answer the questions live at the shower and see if your answers match! It's always really fun and funny Smiley smile

I'm dreading opening gifts as well @Jessica. @ Mrs. Sullivan. How excited can one possibly be over dish ware or a new towel. Lol! Of course I'm super grateful!! It's just not something to get overly excited about to me. This is why I didn't want a shower!

I'm also anti-games. My favorite part of every shower is just watching the bride open gifts. I know some people hate that part, but I would honestly be ok if every shower was just food and gift opening.

One game I did at a shower I hosted (because the bride wanted games) was wedding traditions. It was a match game and there were traditions on one side and reasons for doing them on the other. Whoever got the most right won a prize. Another one that was fun was a card with household tasks on it and the bride filled out who did which chore. The guest who guessed the most correctly won.

I just had my shower on Sunday, and believe it or not, we played TV game shows and it was awesome, my guests would not stop laughing as they were so much fun.

We played Jeopardy, Price is Right, Wheel of Fortunate, Family Feud, Bridal Bingo and guess the bride's age, where pictures of 10 pictures of me at various ages and they had to guess.

I like the Bride Quiz (not sure if that's the correct name). Like, what is the bride's middle name? Where are they going for their honeymoon? Who said I love you first?

Keep it to like 10 questions. Give prizes to top 3 scorers.

My favorite bridal shower game was one where I didn't have to do anything. They set a timer and every 15 minutes it went off. If the bride to be was opening your present then you won a prize.

I'm not a fan of games at showers at all, but I just went to a baby shower and this game is honestly the only game I'd ever admit to liking.

Someone (MOH, MOB, whoever) sets a timer to go off every 5-10 minutes or so. The winner of the prize is the person whose present the bride is opening when the timer goes off. No one has to do anything except sit there. Hands down best shower game ever.

ETA: I didn't read the comments to see that K Squared posted this same game! It really is the best!!

@mrs.katiek- we played something like that at my sister's shower. Everyone got a clothespin that I had painted silver and wrote the bride & groom's name on. If someone caught you sitting cross-legged they got to take your pin. The person with the most pins won the door prize.
