Fathers of the bride and groom attire

Ours are renting tuxes and having plain silver vests and ties. They will compliment the groomsmen who have patterned silver. My mother opted to coordinate with my dad and fmil is wearing clothes lol

It's really up to them/you. My ffil is a groomsman, so he of course is wearing the matching attire(navy suit). My father is wearing a complementary grey suit with navy tie to coordinate with both the rest of the men in bp as well as my mom who is wearing a navy dress.

Let them wear what they want. Some of mine match; some of mine don't.

The only guideline I've heard is that no one should be dressed more formally than the groom. So for instance, my FH is wearing a suit, so my dad won't be wearing his tux even though he owns one.

Dads can wear whatever they want. My personal preference is they they not match the groomsmen, others prefer they do. My father asked for attire guidelines, so I recommended a charcoal suit and a tie that matched my mom's dress.

My dad and FFIL are wearing suits. The groomsmen are wearing light gray tuxes. I don't care what color they wear, but I know my dad is wearing a darker gray suit.

Thanks everyone! I was hoping I could just let them wear what they want, but my dad has literally only worn a tie 2 times that I can remember, so I think I'll just advise a nice shirt and tie and maybe a jacket if he's comfortable wearing one.

Mine are wearing all black and a white shirt.

I think I'll probably have my dad coordinate, but not match. FHs dad is also his best man so he will be matching.

My dad is very evasive about what color tie he wants to wear. I think he'll be matching my mom, but I'm getting him a tie to match the wedding party in case he decides on that. He'll get a buttonhole as well (think you call them boutonnieres?).

We gave our fathers the option to match the groomsmen and set them up at men's warehouse like the rest of the wedding party. My father is doing a black suit with white tie, GM are wearing grey suits with blue vests and ties, and FFIL is wearing tan. I didn't mind them doing different looks as long as they felt comfortable

My dad is a classy man and he will probably pull some fancy mess out his closet. FOB has not been with MOB since she was 19 and he's married now so no, they will not be matching. They can honestly wear whatever they want.
