Fathers attire with groomsmen - cowboy hats

Let the parents dress themselves. I would not dictate or suggest anything to them outside of what they choose on their own to wear. Honestly as a guest, I have never seen parents match the attendants, not should they.


Also, it’s typically the groom who decides what he and his groomsmen wear within their comfort zone.
Most guests are able to tell the parents from the attendants because age differences largely and they are given a corsage or boutonnière that may be a different color than the bridesmaids/groomsmen. Corsages and bouts do serve a purpose.
Years ago I was a bridesmaid for a best friend from high school who had a cowboy theme. Half of the groomsmen wore hats and only one of the parents did. It didn’t look strange at all because everyone’s comfort was respected rather than going for perfect matching.
