Father/mother of Groom and Father/mother of Bride Attire?

Just let them decide for themselves. Our dads didn’t match the groomsman and our moms didn’t match the bridesmaids and they just all wore whatever they wanted. but if they ask you for suggestions something that I feel is always safe are neutral things like a silver or gray

I agree. They aren't part of your bridal party so you don't get to decide what they wear. As adults, they should be able to decide on their own.

Although, I agree with the comments already on this forum I have a different perspective, what I did was give them different color tones that matched with my wedding colors so that wouldn’t clash with my wedding colors so when we take pictures no one looks out of place.

I understand. But if my fiance wears navy, let's say, is it ok for my dad to wear black and my mom to wear red (she likes red). If that's the case, what should Father/Mother of Groom wear? Do they have to wear Black and Red too?

I am not choosing for them, but they are asking me what colors should they wear since Idk what my fiance wants to wear yet. And if my dad wears Black, does Father of Groom also has to wear Black or if he wants to wear another color, is that ok? Thanks!

They can wear anything they want really. There's no rules.

You dad doesn't have to wear the same color has the groom. My dad wore grey, my husband and the groomsmen wore black . He asked me to pick his outfit because he 1. doesn't own any formal wear and 2. has his own business and didn't have time to go shopping because he works roughly 12 hours a day. I had wanted him to wear black, but my husband didn't want him to look like he was groomsman. I was really upset when his dad showed up in black because I had asked over and over again what color his dad was wearing. Apparently, the same rule of no dads in black didn't apply to his dad.

I didn’t tell anyone what to wear. But I love all these smiling faces in my photos and they look great.

I go with gray instead for all the guys. Maybe one of these colors for mom and future in law. Enjoy your day!

Basically they wear what they want. Typically, they'll ask what color you want them to wear and then pick their own attire. You don't want them to clash if they ask you for your opinion, but they also don't need to match each other or anything. Matching the parents could give way too much of a matchy-match look, if that makes sense.
