Father/Daughter song

I am having my dad choose our song so it will be a surprise! I wanted my dad to have a part in my wedding and this was an easy task for him. Maybe your dad would be down to choose it

My dad and I have never danced together as well. He wasn't looking into songs so as a starting point, I gave him a list of songs within genres/bands I knew he liked. He ended up choosing my first suggestion, "In My Life" by the Beatles because he likes that song a lot.

We danced to You Are So Beautiful. The original is sung by Joe Cocker, but there is someone else who covered it that gave it an R&B feel (I think). My father chose the song.

My dad and I have never danced together before either. So we chose an Earth Wind and Fire montage of upbeat songs. I'm pretty sure my dad will break out the robot while I hit the running man lol

I know there are plenty of suggestions listed on google and/or pinterest for the typical songs people choose, but see if you can find a song that has lyrics describing your relationship with your father. If that's not your thing, have him come up with a list of songs he likes and choose from that? Idk.

I decided on One Call Away by Charlie Puth for my dance with my dad.

Stevie Wonder's Isn't She Lovely is a classic with a fun, not too slow, beat that should be easy to move too.

My dad and I don't have the best relationship, but I listened to "I loved her first" by Heartland and started crying. So I decided right then that was our song.

Ugh the father daughter dance is so awkward, I was so uncomfortable during mine. Probably because we'd never danced together before (plus he chose a super cheesy song that didn't describe us and I didn't care for). I'd recommend practicing with him a few times, I wish I had.
