Father/daughter dance

I have a question. My family is very close, so I could ask them but I figured easier to get a group opinion. My family and I used to sing a certain song in the car all the time, it became our family tune. Back in 2015 my sister and my dad danced to it. I’m now getting married and having trouble to find any other song that really speaks to me with my dad. Is it okay to use the same song? Do we think people even care about that?

The song has special meaning to you. No one should have a complaint about using it in this wedding too. Few people should even notice it, apart from your close family.

This is a question for your sister. Your guests certainly won’t care, but she might.

The only one who can tell you how your sister would feel about it is your sister. As a guest, if I remembered it at all eight years later, which is highly doubtful unless the song stood out in some way, I would think it was moving that both daughters wanted to honor that special memory.

If the song has meaning then use it. No one will be offended that it is a repeat.
