Hi everyone, I’m trying to decide what to use for my father daughter dance. When I was a baby, and my mom couldn’t get me to sleep, the only thing that would work was for my dad to hold me and dance with me with Elton John blasting on the radio. Weird, I know. It ended up being our thing even as I’ve grown.Because of this, I am trying to find an Elton John song to dance with him at my wedding. I was thinking Tiny Dancer but I don’t know because it’s not about a father/daughter relationship at all. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I love Tiny Dancer! I don’t think the song has to be specifically about a father/daughter relationship. As long as it’s special for you guys that’s all that matters!

My dad and I are dancing to Brown Eyed girl. Weve not always had the typical close relationship so Im keeping it light and not too emotional. I say do what means the most to you or makes you happiest. Honestly, he'll be so happy with the thought youve put into it.

I love your idea of an Elton John song. I wouldn't worry - I think a lot of us dance with our fathers to songs that aren't necessarily about a father/daughter relationship.

I don't think it really matters if it's a father/daughter song. If it has meaning to you both, then I would use it. My dad and I are dancing to, "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw.

I think given the meaning it has for you, Tiny Dancer would be great. The PP mentioned Tim McGraw, he does a version of that song that I actually like better than the original!
