Father/daughter dance - Alternative to Butterfly Kisses

My dad has always said he wants to dance to Butterfly Kisses at my wedding, but that was his song for my sister's sweet 16 AND her wedding. I really want a song that is just ours. I'd like to come up with a few alternative songs I can suggest to him.

The reason he likes the song so much is because he use to give us butterfly kisses when we were little. I get that it means something special to him, so if I can't find something that means as much, I'll probably give in and use that one.

Does anyone know of another song that mentions butterfly kisses? I feel like I've heard one before, but I can't find d anything. I may also look for a mashup we can dance to...

That's such a sweet reason to pick that song My mom used to give us butterfly kisses when we were younger too!
I wasn't able to find another song that mentions butterfly kisses, but it looks like a lot of other country singers have covered that song! Maybe you could find another version that's a bit different from the original! I know a lot of artists put their own spin on songs they've recreated

I agree use a different version especially since it means so much to your dad. It's not like he picked that song just for your sister. It's because he use to give both of you butterfly kisses. Maybe your husband and your daughter will dance to it one day as well

I’m struggling with something very similar. All of my cousins and friends had that as their dance and I want something different. Ours is There Goes My Life by Kenny Chesney. It doesn't mention Butterfly Kisses, but it hasn't been overly used in our area and my dad picked it himself! But I really like What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong or My Girl by the Temptations. Good luck!!

I've thought about doing Wonderful World. My dad use to sing it at karaoke nights and would even do the raspy voice. I'll see what he thinks. Thanks!
