Father/bride and Mother/groom Dance

I have a weird question. I want to do a dance with my dad after the first dance, but my fiancé doesn’t want to do a dance with his mom. Would it be weird for me to do a dance with my dad when my fiancé doesn’t do one with his mom or does it matter??

    Same! hahaha we are going to do a Father Daughter dance anyways. I don't think it will be weird. I'm just going to make sure that our DJ knows that we will not have a mother\son dance so they dont accidentally announce one or anything.

    Nothing is weird when it’s your wedding. In 2019, people have moved from the traditions and have gotten totally creative with their wedding. Nope. Enjoy.

    Same! It's my first (hopefully last) wedding his second. I'm going to do a father/daughter dance with my dad. FH is going to skip the son/mother.

    I love father daughter dances... however my dad just passed away... but I think my FH's mom would love a dance with her son... even though he isnt a dancer... I will have to check with him on his thoughts
