Brandie, on July 23, 2023 at 11:59 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
Hi! i would like to ask about what do you/can you call the Sister of the father of the Groom to the wedding party?

My fiancés dad has already passed. and we would really love to have one of his dads sibling to represent/honor him, which is my Fiancés Aunt. But what do we/can call her?

Do you mean she will be joining the procession down the aisle in his father’s place? That’s so sweet that y’all are doing that. If so, I would just refer to her as Aunt of the Groom in the program, give her a reserved seat, and give her a corsage as a distinguished guest.

Agree exactly with Kimberly. "Aunt of the groom" is perfect. Sorry for the loss of your FI's father.

I would call her “Best Aunt”.
