Father of the Bride/father of the Groom Attire

For a wedding of any level of formality, the parents wear whatever they'd like. You can absolutely explain the dress code (so they're likely to select tuxes or nice suits) but they don't need to coordinate with anyone/wedding colors.

I don’t care what they pick out at the rental store but neither have a need (or want) to purchase a suit/tux so I’m trying to make the process as easy for them as possible.

Totally get that! I'd talk to both of them individually about their preferences--it should help you to figure out if you should add them into the list of rentals or if they've got themselves covered.

I asked at our Tux rental and our assistant said it completely up to the bride but usually the fathers will do a similar tux that is different from the bridal party. Below is the image of our suits. Our dads are going to have a different vest and tie color but same suit.

Savvi formalwear has it. I'm sure others do as well. Just go in with a pinterest picture and they can build it!
