Dedicated June 2016

father of the bride casual attire

Michelle, on May 17, 2016 at 1:21 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

I am having a casual wedding. The groom and GM are wearing jeans, white button up shirt, and grey tweed vest and boots. I was wondering what the appropriate attire would be for my dad and my fiances dad. Just something similar to the GM or should they have something to set them apart?

I think that's personal preference! I told my mom and dad what the bridesmaids and groomsmen would be wearing, and told them that I'd like them to coordinate (basically just not clash) but not match exactly Smiley smile

I'm glad that you brought this up! My mother and FMIL are bugging me on what to wear. And now my dad is asking. He was ready to buy a new suit. I keep telling them... The wedding is super casual. My dress is literally a 100% cotton maxi dress. FH is wearing a corduroy vest, chinos, and a bow tie. I'd be happy if my dad wore a button up and slacks... As for the mothers, I'm still at a loss.

If you want, maybe just a diff shirt color but still the vests. My fmil is going to be dressed more formal than the others but she will still not be super formal. For my dad I week just be glad he is there and not wearing stained clothes.
