I'll be dancing with my mother, who will be walking me. There are no rules to these things, don't let tradition get in the way. Etiquette is important and timeless- tradition changes. 💜


I am considering "mamas song" by Carrie Underwood or "mom" by Meghan Trainor ☺️ but a song that is special to you both is also great 💝 the song "I hope you dance" is one I considered because I know it means a lot to my mom.

I went to a wedding where the bride’s father had sadly passed away and she danced with her mom - very sweet and the guests loved it ❤️ Sentimental songs are great for these dances! I chose a song my dad and I would listen to when he drove me from from dance class as a kid “Unforgettable” by Natalie Cole & Nat King Cole. Very glad I picked that one. My husband danced to Garth Brooks “Mom” with his mom - tear jerker for sure!!

You should do what feels best for you

Your ideas are awesome & I’m sure she’s going to love it! I walked my daughter & it was a wonderful moment (yes I cried).
