Father daughter songs!

Most likely my father won't be attending so there won't be a father daughter dance, and my FH's mother died years ago and he no longer is on speaking terms with his father. So, we are going to have my mother do the mother son dance with him, since she treats him like a son anyway. The songs we picked so far is "what a wonderful world" by Louis Armstrong and "mama's song" (I think that's what it is) by Carrie underwood.

I let my dad choose, he chose My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. DH's mother chose their song as well, it was The Perfect Fan by The Backstreet Boys lol

My dad loves Elvis, so we are dancing to Love Me Tender

My dad and I are dancing to "In My Life" by The Beatles because one of my most prominent childhood memories is of my dad driving and listening to The Beatles in the car. FH and his mom are dancing to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" because it has a special meaning to them and his father, who passed away.

We haven't decided yet but I really hope be agrees to "my father's daughter" by jewel. I looooove this song.

My Girl by the Temptations. Although Sweet Child O Mine by Guns n Roses was a close second!

My dad and I will be dancing to "she thinks we're just fishin" by Trace Adkins. It's not traditional, but it describes our relationship perfect.

Dad & I are dancing to, "I Loved Her First" by Heartland and FH & his mom are dancing to "Simple Man" the version by Shinedown

My FH and mom are dancing to Perfect Fan by the Backstreet Boys haha and my dad and I have narrowed our options to Daddy Dance With Me by Krystal Keith, Daddy by Abby Anderson, or Daddy's Angel by T-Carter

My dad chose wildflowers by tom petty (which is kinda ironic because the flowers we chose for the wedding are wildflowers lol) and my FH chose simple man by shinedown for him and his mom

My dad Nd i are doing father and daughter dance to i loved her first by heartland also... Ever since the song first came out i have always said thats THE SONG FOR MY WEDDING DAY that i never thought would come but here it is 11 weeks away yayayaya lol

FH and his mother are dancing to Tim McGraw’s “Humble and Kind". I'm not really a fan of country music so I wasn't familiar with the song until FMIL mentioned it but I listened to it and it's a nice fit for them.

As for my dance with my father, I’ve narrowed it down to a few choices from some of my dad’s favorite artists.

“Unforgettable" - Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole

“You Got It” - Roy Orbison

Still haven't made my final decision and my dad isn't the type to have an opinion so he won't be much help, so I might just go with whichever I think is easiest to dance to as I'm not really a dancer and my dad can't move too well.
