Father Daughter Dance

Brittany, on June 14, 2020 at 9:38 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
I have a unique situation and am unsure what to do. My father passed away when I was eight years old. I am having my grandpa walk me down the isle but I don’t know if I want to dance with him, we are not close. I will not dance with my mother, she chose drugs over her own children. I’m not that close with my siblings so I feel like dancing with them would be awkward. I have no idea what to do instead. I would love any advice! TIA

You don't have to do one at all, if you don't want to!

Remember, the only things required at a wedding are: a marrying couple, a license to do so, and witnesses for the license. Everything else is just ... extra. It's your wedding, so do whatever makes you comfortable.

Just skip the spotlight dance. It’s meant to honor someone important to you, if you have to force it, skip it.

Totally skip it--Caytlyn's right about it's purpose. More time for dancing for guests Smiley smile
