Father-Daughter Dance

I'm not a big Country music fan. I picked something by Dawes that reminded me of my dad... All Your Favorite Bands.

There are tons! We're using "what a wonderful world", but that's been "our song" since I was a kid. There's "My girl", "You are so beautiful"...I don't know Buffett very well, but is there anything in his cannon that might work? Sometimes nontraditional can be really cute!

My dad and I are dancing to God Only Knows by the Beach Boys

We are dancing to "Your Song" from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. Dad loves Elton John (the original signer) and I think this version is way more dynamic and I love musicals so it was a compromise.

I danced with my dad to How Sweet It Is by James Taylor

I'm actually using a Jimmy Buffet song, it's called "Little Miss Magic" and it made me cry the first time I listened to it so I knew it was the one. I believe I found it a while ago on the list that wwlynnie and Jillian posted. ETA words

We're doing Otis Redding- That's How Strong my Love Is. Doing mother/son and father/daughter dance to the same song because neither of the parents want the attention all on them at once!

I was thinking of using the same song for one combined dance. (father/daughter, mother/son)

We were going to do Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder. But my dad preferred Daddy's Hands by Holly Dunn....it's Country though.

I think I'm going with To Sir, With Love. I think it's sweet.
