I'm trying to find a song for my father daughter dance. I don't want anything romantic, I feel like that's weird. My dad and I both like all types of music, but my dad really likes heavier bands like Danzig. I just don't want to use something that has been overdone. I also need a dance song for my step-dad, who has been in my life since I was about 6.

We're doing "Father and Daughter" by Paul Simon, it's fairly chill. I am also very creeped out by many songs used for father daughter dances. Lol good luck!

I completely agree with you on being creeped out by the number of songs used for father/daughter dances. I have to figure out a song for my stepdad and I. He's been around for the last 14 years (since i was about 22) and has been more of a dad to me than the biological one ever was, but I don't feel like the majority of the typical songs are a good fit.
