Hi! I need some suggestions. I am starting to think about songs for my wedding in October. I have our first dance (Brad Paisley's Then) and the Mother/Son song (Reba McEntire's He Gets That from Me) are already picked out. I don't have the closest relationship with my father, so this is making it very difficult for me. I also was trying to find something that was a Spanish English mix. It doesn't have to be that type of a mix but I was just trying to find a fun way to incorporate the two cultures, my heritage is Hispanic and my FH's family is a European mix. Please help!

How about "Mi Nina Bonita" by Nazario or Freddy Fender's "Before the Last Teardrop Falls" instrumental version? Best wishes!

Welp, this is definitely not Spanish/English, haha, but I danced with my dad to "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac (he really likes Fleetwood Mac, and I like them too and love that song). I specifically requested that my DJ play the version that starts with "This is for you, Daddy..." I think it might be a live version, but I was very insistent THAT'S the version that played, since it was a song for my dad

How about Chiquilla Bonita for the Spanish influence, or something casual like Brown Eyed Girl or Here Comes the Sun if you are feeling conflicted about your relationship with him and don't want an overly sentimental song?

No Spanish influence, but my dad and I are dancing to God Only Knows by Beach Boys. All the crap I have put him through he still loves me

I told my dad he's in charge of picking the song. We have the same taste in music so I trust his choice.

I've known ever since forever that I wanted to dance with my dad to La Bamba at my wedding. It was my all time favorite song as a kid, and my dad would always humor me and do a dumb dance with me. I like that it's not a serious or emotional song-- I want our reception to be a party.
