I know you said you hate to wear heels but.. beleive it ir not platform heels are actually very comfortable. I found alot of nice ones on line Not the hooker looking ones just a nice platform and because of the platform you get the height but your foot is only slightly slanted and they dont put preasure on your toes or heals. Plus if your on the short side you can get like a few extra inches and not walk like your on stilts.Google platform heels they come in mini, medium, and high. Hope that helps.Good Luck Smiley smile

Try a wedge, or espadrille. They have wider heals, and I think are way more comfortable than stilettos. When you try on the shoe, make sure your weight is resting in your heal, not the ball/tip of your foot. It'll make it so much more bearable to wear for a long period of time. Don't be afraid to use like Dr Sholls inserts for like the ball of your foot, they're super comfy. And, don't forget, after the ceremony, and the first dance..you can change into a nice pair of flats.

The most comfortable bridal shoe is a plain satin 1-1/2" to 2-1/2" Bridal pump or bridal satin covered thong slipper--check out Colorifics dyeables -- Style Valerie pump, Style Plush slipper-flat satin thong, or Style Brooke-a wedge thong--I know I've been selling them to brides for 15 years and they have all come back to thank me!!!! Don't forget--unless you are wearing a short or tea length dress, you will not see your shoes until you throw away the garter--Be Smart-Be comfortable!!

So I have the most comfortable platform shoes that are around 4" tall. I ended up buying them in 3 colors! I am going to put the link here and Chinese Laundry makes a few other styles that are similar in appearance that come in Ivory and white as well. DSW doesn't have the white ones, but some other websites do. I have worn these shoes for FULL days and dancing well into the night and i LOVE THEM.

    Good luck!

I have a wide foot and I buy Softspot shoes because they are so comfortable. I get them from Zappos.com. They have free shipping and returns.

I'm short and hate heels. I was in a wedding last summer and the bride asked us all to get the same shoes. The ones she picked out had a strap that went around your ankle. I think it looks hideous, but with a long dress noone is going to see your ankle. It made it so much easier to walk, since you weren't worrying about slipping out.

I've been buying a pair I like at the store, then wearing them around the house all day to see how they feel. If my feet hurt at all, I take them back the next day. Do this until you find the perfect shoe because you'll regret it when your feet are aching when you are supposed to be having a good time!
