Farmers Market Flowers?

We found our florist from a farmers market. She has her own flower farm, supplies the local florist shops, and does weddings. I was able to see her work. She was much less expensive than the florists and I was blown away by our wedding flowers.

I would definitely look into that option!

Oh -yeah I would only explore this option if you have a contract/agreement with them in advance like you would any other florist.

I would be concerned about having enough. I would talk to a local vendor at the farmers market and let them know your plan ahead of time. Also a day ahead isn't going to be enough time to construct florals. Also with real flowers they typically need to be kept cold, think refrigerator cold. So you would need a place for them or face wilty flowers come wedding day. I would hire a pro.

I guess I should also mention that I'm mainly only doing flowers for bouquets... I'm going to try and incorporate as little as possible into center pieces. I come from an allergy riddled family and I'm willing to sacrifice flowers if it means my guests are more comfortable

I wouldn't have thought of that, but it wouldn't hurt to look into a local vendor for your bouquets and arrangements, it might save you a lot!!

I would never attempt to DIY arrangements, though. Its WAY too much work and stress.
