How many people are you buying boutonnieres and corsages for (that are not part of the wedding party)? I read that parents (and step-parents) of the couple and grandparents were typical but what is everyone else planning on doing?

Were getting one for officiant (honorary groomsman), 2 for the dads, and 3 for the moms and FHs grandma.

We are doing pocket squares for the groom and GMs and bouquets for bride and BMs. Then we are doing corsages for mothers and grandmothers and bouts for dads and grandfathers and brothers (we have no sisters or else they would get corsages). We have no family in the wedding party just friends.

I’m doing wrist corsages for both mothers and my grandmother (only grandparent we have left), and bouts for the groom, his party, my bridesman and both fathers. All my corsage wearers voted wrist over pinned.

Our officiant will get one or the other, depending on who we choose and their preference!

I’m doing them for mob, mog, stepmom, grandmothers, stepgrandmothers, fob, fog, stepdad, stepgrandfathers, grandfather, officiant, groomsmen, brothers. In total 15 bouts and 7 corsages but some of those people might rsvp no.

We did parents and grandparents. We have siblings that weren't in the wedding and we didn't get them anything.

We are doing parents, step-parent, grandparents, ushers and my FSIL who is not in the wedding. Oh also my nephew. He's too old to be a ring bearer but his sisters are going to be flower girls so I want him to feel included in some way.

Neither of us have living grandparents and both of our mothers opted to have no flowers. So other than my father who will be walking me down the aisle, we are only getting them for the bridal party. Our siblings are in the wedding party so we have no one else to give something to anyways.

It’s a second wedding for us and relationships with our parents are strained now, but we decided that flowers are just for the wedding party (us, kids, best man). None of our parents played a positive role in our getting married and we certainly don’t want to honor that.

You should do what you want but we scrapped them all. Including the groomsmen! The groomsmen aren't wearing vests or anything, just shirts and suspenders. I thought it looked weird so we nixed them. My mom didn't want to wear a coursage and his mom has passed so we nixed the family ones too. Plus with my grandparents being divorced it was gonna be weird deciding who got one and who didn't. So we just did away with them all and spent the money on flowers elsewhere. We did order a special small bouquet for his mom's chair. Good luck!

We are doing moms, dads, my godparents, and his uncle, and FH. That's it. We aren't doing them for the groomsmen because they will have a pocket square and honestly, it was just silly expensive to do all of them.

My mom & I were discussing this today. I hate the look of corsages so both moms are doing hoops. I think I’m going to do them for grandmothers as well and do boutonnières for all GM’s, dads & granddad’s. I’m not sure if I’ll do one for our officiant or not. Haven’t thought that far ahead yet.
