Family drama

No questions here, just venting! My wedding is 2 weeks away, at my shower in July my FHs aunt gave everyone the silent treatment due to being mad at us. Now she lives a much different life than us and is very used to getting her way with everyone. She found out that my FH is NOT shaving his beard off for the wedding and he will be wearing jeans, boots, and a button down shirt while I wear a cute white lace sun dress and my boots and thinks it's unacceptable attire. We aren't having a ceremony at all and are only having a pig roast to celebrate. We have already told her if she plans on having a bad mood or complaining about our choices for celebrating we don't even want her to come. Here's to hoping she behaves 🍻

You are bigger than I am. I would have had a quiet talk with her and said, the way you are spouting off against the simple, and nice wedding we have planned makes it clear you will bring no happiness with you,. So you are, officially, no longer invited to the wedding. I would not accept such bad manners from any kid. And she is old enough to know exactly how rude she is being, verbally taking apart your plans. Spoiled, dictatorial behavior not allowed.

Forget her. If she comes, she comes, whatever. People can be so rude and opinionated!

Honestly, it sounds like it would be better for everyone if she didn't come. For her, because she clearly can't have fun, and you, because she can't keep her nose out of your business!

    I'm sorry.

My mother refused to attend because her name wasn't on the invites... joke's on her, the wedding was much more enjoyable without her!

If she is this negative, I would not even want her there. You and your FH can do whatever you want and her opinion really isn’t necessary unless asked for. I’d let her know she can stay home that day.
