Family drama/ Courthouse Worries!!!!

So here is the new problem guys.... I have totally fell in love with the idea of having a courthouse wedding, and the fact that I am going to wear a nice suit at the courthouse! Well my family is kinda being a jerk about the whole situation. They are going around questioning me on why I want to do the courthouse wedding, and just making me feel bad about my choice. I'm just at a lost and tired of feeling bad about my choice to go to the courthouse!!! What should I do????

    I would completely ignore it and stop talking about your wedding with them. They aren't the ones getting married, they don't have to like it. Don't let them make you feel bad for doing what YOU want to do!

    Have the wedding you and your future spouse want. At the end of the day, it's your wedding.

    I am just a little hurt because I want them to be happy for me doing my wedding the day I want! I've been told that They are disappointed in my decision because this will be the first wedding my family has had in 15 years (when my mom got married)! It's just starting to be too much for me!

    Have the courthouse wedding and enjoy your wedding day! Even if you throw a massive wedding, someone will complain. My kids aren't invited, the cake looks funny, the photographer is in the way, the flowers aren't what I would have picked, the food is cold or too heavy....have your day and forget the rest!

    You can’t stop people from talking and won’t get everyone to agree. So you should have your courthouse wedding and they’ll have to get over it.

    Stop discussing any plans with your family. Have your courthouse wedding. They can deal.
