False Divorce

The Bride, on September 29, 2019 at 2:44 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
According to the New York Daily News, a Houston man got in trouble with the law for trying to divorce his wife without her knowledge. He is accused of forging her name on documents and commiting perjury in court.

Do you think the man should go to jail for faking the divorce if his wife refused to sign the divorce papers? Why or why not?

I wouldn’t want to be with someone who doesn’t want to be with me. But with that said if the wife refused and all options have been exhausted this may have been his only way out and I find it okay. Now does the law find it okay? No. Would I personally send him to jail? No. Would I be upset if he went to jail? Also no, because he broke the law.

I completely understand your perspective. If my husband no longer wanted to be in the marriage and asked for a divorce I'd sign the papers. I don't blame him for what he did but it's still wrong.

Yea what he did was still wrong but it also sounds like he thought there weren't any other options. Which isn't true but he musta really wanted out.
